#Shippingfail: Box Size Probs

Jul 12, 2016 | Blog | 0 comments

We have all had it happen at one point or another during the online shopping experience. Perhaps it’s a huge box with a tiny pair of earbuds or a tattered box with a broken coffee mug. Maybe it’s a pair of pants that don’t fit but you can’t return them because there’s no return label. It could also be a new sweater with a packing slip that tells a different story about the number of sweaters you should actually be receiving.

These are just a few of the true stories we have personally encountered while navigating the ecommerce world. We decided to document common and extraordinary #shippingfails in an effort to help retailers laugh about industry fails and for consumers to vent a bit about shipping woes. It’s an opportunity for both businesses and customers to open up a line of communication that will hopefully put an end to #shippingfails.

This month we have the all-too-common huge box for a tiny item. Please note there was also no packing slip that came with this purchase. Honestly it felt like my neighbor taped a brown box and and put it on my doorstep. What if I don’t like the earbuds? What if I didn’t order them? There’s no way to return the item or contact the company. We would classify this as a #shippingfail.
